What you get

A site that works while you work.

Four things that turn a visitor into a customer, in place from the first day.

Classes sorted by age, from four to adulthood

Dance awakening, introduction, classical, modern jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, salsa and rock: each with its age group, its length and its teacher.

Teaching qualifications stated as the law expects

The state diploma for classical, contemporary and jazz, the medical certificate for those classes, and the experience of your other teachers.

Enrolment requests with the dancer's age

The class, the age and a line for previous experience, preferred days or a couple's enrolment: you reply with the right trial class straight away.

Five stages to choose from, tried out live

Barre Light, Gala Night, Street Studio, Little Steps or Social Dance: type your school's name and watch each design take it on, with no account required.

The pages you get

Not an empty template to fill in: pages already written and already linked to each other, with example content you correct instead of writing from scratch.

The checklist

What your website
must contain.

The sections that actually bring in enquiries, and the ones you can skip.

Dance awakening and introduction explained to parents

Ages 4 to 7, what happens and why there is no technique yet.

The state diploma of your teachers

For classical, contemporary and jazz, written plainly.

The season timetable by evening and age

Day, time, class, teacher and age group for every slot.

Season prices and instalments

Trial class, one or two classes a week, membership, siblings.

The medical certificate reminder

Which disciplines need it, renewed each September.

The end-of-year show

Date, venue, costumes, and the fact that taking part is optional.

01Budget

What it really
costs.

Real figures, including what you pay elsewhere and what you no longer pay here.

Preparing the school site

Setting up your classes, timetable and prices costs nothing while you prepare the season, and no card details are needed.

Going online and taking trial bookings

Your school appears on its own domain for €14 excl. VAT a month, invoiced yearly, with hosting and SSL included. Trial class booking is optional, from €19 excl. VAT monthly, paid into your Stripe account with Communik taking nothing. Events and testimonials modules can be added at any time.

What the school keeps outside the site

Membership files and pupil records, insurance, ticketing for the show, costume orders, and your domain name if it is not registered yet.

02To avoid

The mistakes that
cost you clients.

Seen on hundreds of sites in this trade, and each one is cheap to fix.

Classes listed without age groups

A parent cannot tell whether "jazz" suits a seven-year-old or only teenagers.

Nothing on teachers' diplomas

For classical, contemporary and jazz, parents expect to read it.

Prices given per month with no season total

Families budget for the year; give them the figure.

The show date announced in May

Families book holidays early; tell them at enrolment.

Forgetting adult beginners

Adults who never danced assume the school is only for children.

Two moments bring most new pupils: the start of the school year, when parents look for an after-school activity, and January, when adults finally decide to start. They type dance school near me, dance class for children Toulouse or adult salsa class, and choose the school whose classes fall on the right evening for the right age.

From what age can my child start dancing?

It is the question every parent asks, and French law gives you a clear answer to write down. Children aged 4 and 5 follow dance awakening, children aged 6 and 7 an introduction class, and technical work only starts at 8. Give each of these classes its own page, with the age group, the length (45 minutes for the youngest) and what actually happens: rhythm, coordination, games with music. Parents of a small child read that page twice; make it reassuring and precise. Add what to wear for a first class: comfortable clothes are enough, and ballet shoes can wait until the child is sure to carry on.

Classical, jazz, contemporary: what the law asks of your teachers

Teaching classical, contemporary or jazz dance for pay requires the French state diploma of dance teacher, or a recognised equivalent. Say clearly that your teachers in those disciplines hold it. For these three styles, pupils also provide a medical certificate stating there is no contraindication, renewed every year: mention it in the enrolment information so families are not caught out in September. Hip-hop and partner dances are not covered by this diploma, so describe those teachers by their experience instead.

September enrolment: season prices and the trial class

Families compare schools on a few figures. Show them for the whole season: the trial class, one class a week, two classes a week, the annual membership, and what each includes. Say when the season runs, from September to June for most schools, whether there is a discount for siblings or a second class, and how payment in several instalments works if you offer it. The enrolment form asks for the class, the age of the dancer and leaves room for previous experience or preferred days.

The June show, a date to announce at enrolment

For many families, the end-of-year show is the moment they will remember. Announce the date and the venue early, explain that taking part is never compulsory, and say whether a costume contribution is asked. The Gala Night design puts the show first, and the events module lets you publish the date, the venue and ticket information alongside the classes.

A dance school website for adults and couples too

  • Adult beginners in classical or contemporary: say plainly that no experience is needed.
  • Salsa and rock evenings: explain whether people can come alone or must enrol as a couple.
  • Hip-hop for teenagers: the Street Studio design speaks their language without losing the parents.

Schools that want families to reserve a trial class themselves can add online booking; others receive each request by email and reply with the right class and day.

Write your school's name in the preview and see your classes appear, from dance awakening to the adult evening class.

Questions

Before you start.
Everything else, just ask.

What people ask before they get going.

Can parents book a trial class online?

Yes, once you add online booking, available from €19 excl. VAT a month. You choose which trial slots are open; if a payment is taken, it is credited to your Stripe account and Communik takes no share. Without booking, enrolment requests come to you by email.

Does the site explain the age groups for young children?

Yes. The sample classes follow the French framework: dance awakening at 4 and 5, introduction at 6 and 7, technique from 8. Each class shows its age group on its page and in the timetable.

Does the site mention the medical certificate?

Yes, for classical, contemporary and jazz, where it is required each year. You can add your own rule for other styles if you ask for one.

Can I announce the show and sell tickets?

You can announce it with the events module: date, venue, times and practical details. Ticket sales are not part of the site; you can link to the ticketing service you already use.

We teach salsa and rock to couples. Is there a design for that?

Yes, Social Dance, in wine and brass tones with an evening atmosphere, made for schools that teach partner dances to adults.

Can the site show pupils and parents' reviews?

Yes, with the testimonials module: a few words from a parent about the first year, or from an adult who started at forty, placed next to the classes they talk about.
