Create and publish your first site
This guide takes you from describing your business to putting your first site online. You can return to the editor and change the site after publishing it.
1. Describe the site you want
On the Communik home page, describe your business and what the site should show. Include your location, services, and the contact details you want displayed. You can correct the first result in the editor.
If you need a blog, FAQ, or bookings, mention it here so those features can be added as modules.
2. Open the site in the editor
Once the site has been created, the editor opens it. Check the name, copy, and contact details first. Click an element to change it. Use the preview to inspect the desktop and mobile layouts.

3. Check the pages before publishing
Follow the menu links and inspect the main pages. Test forms and contact details with sample data. If you enabled another language, check its pages and copy too: changing the editor language does not translate your site content by itself.
4. Publish
Open Publish in the editor toolbar. You can first use the staging preview to review the site. Then choose production publishing and the site address. Going live may require an account and an active subscription; the editor shows the necessary steps.
Open the published address in another tab. Check the home page, navigation, mobile layout, and a form. Changes made later in the editor need to be published again before they appear on the public site.
If something looks wrong
- A detail is incorrect: edit it and publish again.
- A page is missing from the menu: check the site's navigation before publishing again.
- The public site looks old: check that publishing finished, then reload the public address.
