What you get

A site that works while you work.

Four things that turn a visitor into a customer, in place from the first day.

The licence answer on every boat

No licence, coastal licence or sailing experience: the line sits on each card, so a renter knows in a second which boats are open to him.

Two prices that leave no surprise

Half day and full day per boat, fuel charged on return and the deposit explained beside them, before anyone reaches the pontoon.

Requests you can confirm in one reply

The boat, the date, the duration, the number on board and the licence: enough to say yes, or to suggest the boat that fits.

Five harbour styles to try with your company name

Harbour Chart, Signal Flags, Riviera Stripe, Towpath or Departure Board: type your name on this page and see your fleet in each.

The pages you get

Not an empty template to fill in: pages already written and already linked to each other, with example content you correct instead of writing from scratch.

What is added to your project

Ready-to-use databases. Edit one row and every page that shows it updates.

    The checklist

    What your website
    must contain.

The sections that actually bring in enquiries, and the ones you can skip.

The licence needed for each boat

No licence, coastal, inland or sailing experience, written on the card.

    Seats and engine power

How many fit on board and how strong the engine is.

    Half-day and full-day rates

Morning, afternoon or the whole day, side by side.

    Deposit and fuel, said upfront

The two lines renters ask about at the counter.

Speed near the shore and swimming zones

5 knots within 300 metres, marked zones off-limits.

What happens when the wind rises

The hire moved or refunded, said before booking.

    01Budget

    What it really
    costs.

Real figures, including what you pay elsewhere and what you no longer pay here.

    Putting your fleet online

Choosing a design, entering your boats and prices and checking the result in the preview is free, with no card required.

Your own domain and online booking

Publishing costs €14 excl. VAT a month, billed yearly, hosting and SSL certificate included. Boat booking for a half day or a day is an option from €19 excl. VAT a month; renters pay on your Stripe account and Communik takes nothing on it. FAQ, reviews, gallery and blog modules can be added.

    What stays on the pontoon

Your hire contracts, the deposit, the boats' safety equipment and registration, your insurance, the mooring with the harbour office and the briefing itself.

    02To avoid

    The mistakes that
    cost you clients.

Seen on hundreds of sites in this trade, and each one is cheap to fix.

No licence information on the boats

A renter books the RIB and cannot take it.

    One price with no duration

Half day or day? The call comes anyway.

Fuel and deposit discovered on the pontoon

The best way to start a day out on a bad note.

Sea rules on a lake hire site

It shows the text was copied, not written.

    No word on weather cancellations

A windy morning ends in an argument.

Boat hire is decided fast and often on the spot. Holidaymakers type boat hire without a licence from the beach, couples look for a day boat rental for a special day, and licence holders compare RIBs for a trip to the islands. They all need the same four answers: which boats they are allowed to take, how many fit on board, what it costs for a half day or a day, and what is added at the counter.

Can I take this boat without a licence?

It is the first question, and the French rule is simple enough to state on the site. Motor boats with up to 6 HP, or 4.5 kW, and sailing boats require no licence. Above that power, the person at the helm needs the boat licence: the coastal option at sea, the inland option on lakes, rivers and canals. Write it once in a clear block, then repeat it on each boat card: no licence needed, coastal licence required, sailing experience required. A renter scanning your fleet knows straight away which boats are his.

Half day or full day, and what comes on top

Show two prices per boat, morning or afternoon and the full day, rather than a single figure that leaves the duration open. Next to them, say how fuel works, for instance a full tank on departure charged by consumption on return, and how the deposit is taken. The electric boat costs nothing in fuel: worth saying. These lines take seconds to write and save the discussions that sour the start of a day at sea.

A boat rental website that reads like a departure board

Renters compare. The Departure Board design puts the whole fleet on one dark board with columns for seats, licence, half day and full day, which stacks into cards on a phone. Harbour Chart presents it as the legend of a nautical chart, Signal Flags speaks to families taking a boat for the first time, Riviera Stripe suits day boats on an elegant coast, and Towpath is made for lakes, rivers and canals. Each keeps the pontoon's number in every header.

Safety on board without the lecture

Life jackets in every size, children's included, are part of the compulsory equipment. At sea, speed is limited to 5 knots within 300 metres of the shore, and marked swimming zones are closed to boats. Say it calmly, alongside the zone you show on the map during the briefing and your rule for wind and weather: if the trip is not safe, the hire is moved or refunded. Parents read that line twice.

A request that already holds the answer

The form on every page asks for the boat, the day, half day or full day, the number of people on board and whether the skipper holds a licence, with its number. You reply with a confirmation and the deposit, or you suggest the boat that fits the group. A boat hire in Le Lavandou busy all summer can add online booking so that renters reserve a boat themselves.

Type your company name in the preview and watch your fleet line up on the board, the chart or the towpath.

    Questions

    Before you start.
    Everything else, just ask.

What people ask before they get going.

How does the site explain who needs a licence?

A block sets out the French rule: motor boats up to 6 HP (4.5 kW) and sailing boats need no licence; above that, the skipper needs the boat licence, coastal option at sea and inland option on lakes and rivers. Each boat also carries its own licence line.

We rent on a lake, not at sea. Will the site talk about the coast?

No. Setup asks where you rent, and the brief removes the sea rules, such as the 300-metre band, for lake and river hires. The Towpath design is built for calm water.

Can renters pay a deposit online?

Online booking, an option from €19 excl. VAT a month, lets renters reserve a boat for a half day or a day and pay on your Stripe account, without a Communik commission. The security deposit itself is still taken on the pontoon, as you do today.

Where do the fuel and deposit rules appear?

Next to the prices on every boat card and again in the questions block, written the way you work: full tank on departure, fuel charged on return, deposit by card imprint or cheque.

Can I show the navigation zone?

Yes, in words: how far each boat may go, the coves to anchor in and the places to avoid. The detailed map stays on the pontoon, where you explain it during the briefing.

Can I rent paddles and kayaks too?

Yes. Add them as rows in the fleet with their own price and the licence line set to none. The page keeps one place for everything you rent.
