What you get

A site that works while you work.

Four things that turn a visitor into a customer, in place from the first day.

The board behind your counter, online

Shirt, suit, coat, duvet or curtains: the price of every common item, in a list you update the day your rates move.

A ready day for each garment

Every service shows when it will be ready, so a customer with a deadline knows whether to come today.

Your shop name on the page in minutes

Give the name of the shop, its town and what you do, and the preview lays out your prices and hours in a design. No account is opened unless you choose to keep the site.

Questions answered before the drop-off

The form takes the garment, the treatment it needs and the day it is wanted back, so you can warn about a risk before the customer makes the trip.

The pages you get

Not an empty template to fill in: pages already written and already linked to each other, with example content you correct instead of writing from scratch.

The checklist

What your website
must contain.

The sections that actually bring in enquiries, and the ones you can skip.

From shirt to duvet: the price per item

The board from your counter, readable on a phone.

The ready day, service by service

Same evening, three days or a week, as your shop actually works.

House rules on care labels and risks

What you read, what you announce, and the ticket for each item.

Alterations with their own prices

Hems, zips and waists priced, and how fittings work.

Wedding dresses and delicate pieces

A family of services for garments that cannot be replaced.

Early opening for commuters, clearly shown

The hours that let people drop off before work.

01Budget

What it really
costs.

Real figures, including what you pay elsewhere and what you no longer pay here.

Opening your counter online

Setting up the site and previewing it are free, with no card number to enter. Putting it live at your own web address is €14 excl. VAT monthly, paid yearly, hosting and SSL included.

Fittings by appointment and extra modules

Fittings booked online come as an extra from €19 excl. VAT a month. Clients pay into your own Stripe account, and nothing is deducted by Communik. FAQ, reviews, gallery and blog modules can follow.

What happens only in the shop

The cleaning itself, your ticket and till system, payment at collection and, if needed, the purchase of a domain name.

02To avoid

The mistakes that
cost you clients.

Seen on hundreds of sites in this trade, and each one is cheap to fix.

Promising that every stain will go

Say what you will try and what you will warn about; customers trust that more.

A price board kept only in the shop

People compare on their phone before they choose where to go.

Claiming a label you do not hold

Mention a certification only if you can show it.

Offering office collection you cannot run

Leave it out rather than miss a Tuesday round.

Leaving alterations off the site

Hems and zips bring customers who come back for cleaning.

Nobody plans a trip to the dry cleaner months ahead. A job interview, a wedding, a christening or a duvet too big for the washing machine sends people to their phone, typing dry cleaner near me or dry cleaning in Bordeaux. They compare two or three shops on price, on the day the garment will be ready and on how carefully each place seems to work.

The price board, now on your dry cleaner website

The board behind your counter already answers most questions. Put the same list online: shirt, trousers, jacket, suit, coat, dress, duvet, curtains, each with its price. Customers who see that a two-piece suit costs what they expected come in; those who find nothing go to the shop that shows it. When a price depends on the fabric or the size, give a starting price and say what changes it. With Communik each item is a row you update the day your rates change. Give household linen its own lines too: duvets, bedspreads, tablecloths and curtains often bring new customers in spring and autumn.

Ready on which day?

Turnaround matters as much as price. Give a time for every service, the same evening for shirts left before ten, three days for a coat, a week for a wedding dress, according to how your shop really works. A customer with a train on Thursday knows whether to come today or look elsewhere. If you run an express service, show its price and its conditions so nobody assumes it by default.

Stains, delicate fabrics and the risk you announce

Experienced dry cleaners never promise that every stain will come out, and the site does not either. Explain your house rules instead: the care label read on every garment, the risk announced before a delicate treatment, a ticket for each item, a missing button sewn back on. For leather, silk or an old wedding dress, invite the customer to describe the fabric, the stain and what the label says through the form before coming in. You answer with a price, a time and an honest opinion. Say too what you do with garments marked as not suitable for dry cleaning, so nobody is surprised at the counter.

Alterations, a trade of their own

Many shops earn as much from the sewing machine as from the cleaning machines. Give alterations their own place: trousers taken up, a zip replaced, a waist taken in, a wedding dress adjusted. Show a price for the common jobs and explain how fittings work. With the booking option, a customer can pick a slot for a fitting instead of queuing at the counter.

Weekly shirts and customers who work nearby

Office workers drop off five shirts on Monday and collect them on Friday. If you serve them, say on which days, until what time, and whether you collect from companies; if you do not, leave it out. Add your hours, including the early opening that suits commuters, your address and reviews from customers who describe a garment you saved. Plain facts like these turn a passer-by into a regular.

Put your price board and your turnaround online this week, so the next suit needed for Friday ends up on your counter.

Questions

Before you start.
Everything else, just ask.

What people ask before they get going.

Can I put my whole price board online?

Yes. Each garment is a row with its price, shown as a board on the home page. You add household linen, leather or curtains as you go.

How do customers see when each garment will be ready?

Every service has a turnaround, displayed on its card and on its page. If your delays vary with the season, you can hide it.

Can someone ask for a price before bringing a garment in?

Yes. The form asks for the garment, what it needs, the day it is needed back, and leaves room for the fabric, the stain and the care label.

Can customers book a fitting for alterations online?

Yes. Online booking, an add-on starting at €19 excl. VAT monthly, lets them reserve a fitting time. Payments, if you ask for any, are made to your Stripe account, and Communik charges nothing on them.

I do not collect from offices. Will the site mention it anyway?

Only if you keep it. Office collection is put forward mainly by the Office Round design; with the others, and once your own details are in, the site talks about your counter and your hours.

Can wedding dress cleaning have a page of its own?

Yes. Ceremony garments form their own family, and each service gets its page with a price, a turnaround and a question form.
