You set your hours, customers pick a slot on your site, the booking lands in your calendar.
A site that works while you work.
Four things that turn a visitor into a customer, in place from the first day.
Services sorted the way customers search
Prescription glasses, vision check, progressives, contact lenses, children's glasses, sunglasses and repairs, each with its page and the time to allow.
Prescriptions and 100% Santé in plain words
What a valid prescription allows, what the insurance needs, and the fully covered offer included in every quote, explained before anyone walks in.
Appointments that tell you why they come
Vision check, new pair or contact lenses, preferred days and the date of the prescription: you know which optician to free up before calling back.
Your shop front, previewed as you type
Pick one of the five designs, enter the shop name and phone number, and the page next to you fills in live. Creating an account comes afterwards, only if you keep it.
The pages you get

What remains in the shop
Your till and optical management software, insurer agreements, frame ordering from suppliers, and your domain name if you still need one.

Seen on hundreds of sites in this trade, and each one is cheap to fix.
Vague answers on prescription validity
Customers call or go elsewhere when they cannot tell whether theirs is still valid.
Mentioning 100% Santé without explaining it
A label with no explanation sounds like a sales hook rather than a right.
Calling a refraction test an eye examination
Only an ophthalmologist examines the eye; saying otherwise misleads.
One page lumping every service together
Progressive lens wearers and parents of young children are not looking for the same thing.
No mention of repairs without appointment
A loose screw is often how a future customer first comes through your door.
People rarely browse optician sites for fun. They arrive with a precise problem: glasses broken on holiday, blurred vision on screens, a child squinting at the board. They type optician near me, optician Bordeaux or progressive lenses optician, and pick the shop that answers their question without making them call.
Do I need a prescription to change my glasses?
This is what customers hesitate over most. Put the rule in plain words: with a prescription that is still valid, an optician can renew glasses and, unless the doctor has ruled it out, adapt the correction after a refraction test. The validity period depends on the age of the wearer, and adapting the correction is not allowed for children under 16. For the insurance to pay its share, a prescription is needed. Then add one sentence that saves you calls: "Not sure? Ring us with the date of your last prescription."
100% Santé, explained before the quote
Many customers have heard of glasses with no out-of-pocket cost without knowing what is behind the label. Explain it simply: a selection of frames and lenses fully covered when the top-up insurance contract is a "responsible" one, which most are, and an offer that must appear in every standardised quote, next to the other options. Customers then come in knowing they will be offered a choice, not a sales pitch. If you also run shop offers, such as a second pair, keep them in a separate paragraph so nobody confuses a promotion with a right.
An optician website with a page per need
Someone searching for progressive lenses does not care about your children's frames, and a parent does not want to read about contact lens solutions. Communik gives each service its own page: prescription glasses, the vision check, progressives, contact lenses, children's glasses, prescription sunglasses, adjustments and repairs. Each page says who it is for, how the visit goes and how long to allow, from a few minutes for a nose pad to about an hour for a first pair of progressives.
Vision check or eye examination: say the difference
A refraction test measures the correction; only an ophthalmologist examines the health of the eye. Writing this on your site is honest and reassuring: customers understand what you do, and they know you will send them to a doctor if something looks unusual. It also avoids misunderstandings with people who thought they had had a full eye test, and your role stays clearly defined next to that of the eye doctor.
Repairs, adjustments and the rest of the visit
- Glasses bought elsewhere: say whether you adjust and repair them, and whether an appointment is needed.
- What to bring: the prescription, the top-up insurance card, current glasses or lens boxes.
- Opening hours, late evenings or Saturday, and whether the shop is step-free.
The appointment request collects the reason (vision check, new glasses, contact lenses), preferred days and a line for the prescription date or a child's first pair. You call back with a time slot and the right optician available. With the online booking option, customers choose the slot themselves.

What people ask before they get going.
Can customers book a vision check online?
Yes, with the booking option, starting at €19 excl. VAT per month. You decide which services can be booked and when. If you take a payment, it lands in your Stripe account and Communik keeps no commission. Without the option, requests reach you by email.
Does the site explain prescription renewal correctly?
The default text explains that an optician can renew glasses with a valid prescription and adapt the correction in some cases, never for children under 16, and invites customers to call if unsure. You can adjust the wording to your practice.
Is 100% Santé already explained on the site?
Yes, in the questions and in the shop commitments: a fully covered selection with a responsible insurance contract, always included in the quote next to other options.
Can I show the frame brands I sell?
Yes, in the text of your pages and with your own photos of the shop and the frame wall. Use only brands you actually stock, and check the rules of each brand before using its logo.
Do I deal with top-up insurers through the site?
No. The site explains that you handle the request for cover with the insurer. That process stays in your shop software, as it does today.
Is there a page for children's glasses?
Yes. It explains the first visit with a child, the prescription from the ophthalmologist and the frames that suit active children, and a design aimed at families puts it forward.
