Create a plumber website that brings in local jobs

When a pipe bursts, people search Google and call the first plumber that looks trustworthy. A clear website with your services, your area and a quote form turns those searches into jobs, and Communik lets you build it in an evening, no agency required.

Steps 5 and 6 happen after you create your account: the site is generated with your answers, then you publish it on your own domain when you are ready.

What you get

What your website does
for you.

Four things that turn a visitor into a customer, in place from the first day.

Your services, clearly priced

List repairs, installations and emergency call-outs so customers know exactly what you do, and stop calling to ask.

Quote requests while you're on a job

A quote form collects the problem, the address and photos, so you answer when you're free and nothing slips through.

Proof that builds trust

Before/after photos and customer reviews reassure people who've never heard of you.

Visible in your service area

Local SEO structure baked in: your towns, your specialties, your hours, everything Google needs to rank you nearby.

The pages you get

Not an empty template to fill in: pages already written and already linked to each other, with example content you correct instead of writing from scratch.

Town, Slug, Postcode, Response time

Your customer is standing in a flooded kitchen with a phone in one hand. For 73% of people, a local search starts on mobile, and 28% decide in under five minutes. Your plumber website gets those five minutes, on a screen the size of a postcard, against two other names. Here is what has to happen in each of them.

Minute one: your plumber website has to prove you cover their street

They check one thing first. Do you come here? "Serving the region and surrounding areas" answers nothing. Name the towns, the postcodes, the neighbourhoods you actually drive to, and put that service area where it is visible without scrolling.

One page per town is not overkill. It is how someone two miles away finds you at all.

Minute two: answer the question they will not ask you

Price. Nobody rings to ask what a call-out costs, they ring the plumber who already said it. A starting price, the call-out fee, whether nights and weekends are charged differently: three lines, and the main reason to hesitate is gone.

Availability works the same way. "24/7" in the footer convinces no one. "We answer until 10pm and come out for burst pipes and blocked drains" convinces, because it is specific enough to be checked. An emergency you can prove beats an emergency you claim.

Minute three: let someone else vouch for you

97% of consumers read reviews, and 31% will only use a business rated 4.5 stars or higher. Those two numbers settle more jobs than any hero image ever will.

Put real reviews on the page itself, with a first name and the job done. Linking to your Google Business Profile is fine, but sending someone off your site to find a reason to trust you is a strange plan.

Minutes four and five: make contact take one tap

  • A tappable phone number at the top of every page, not a number sitting inside an image.
  • A short quote form: what broke, the address, a photo. Four fields, not eleven.
  • A response time you keep. "We reply within two hours" beats "we will get back to you shortly".

Every extra field is one more chance to give up. Your quote form is not an insurance claim.

The shortlist is three names long

72% of people compare three businesses or fewer. Making that shortlist is not a design problem, it is an information problem: towns covered, availability, price, proof, one tap. A trade module ships with those pages, the services database and the quote form already wired, which frees up the evening you were going to spend choosing a logo.

Questions

Before you start.
Everything else, just ask.

What people ask before they get going.

Can customers reach me for emergencies?

Yes: put your phone number front and center with a click-to-call button on mobile, plus a form for non-urgent quotes.

Can I show my service area?

Yes. List the towns and areas you cover: it helps customers and tells Google where to show your site.

I have no time to maintain a website. How much work is it?

Almost none: your site runs itself. Adding a photo of a finished job takes a minute from your phone.

How much does it cost?

Building is free; publishing on your domain starts at €14/month, hosting and SSL included, less than one hour of your rate.
